About Me:
Joan Holman is a Zaadz Ambassador
When I was young I wanted to change the world. Then I realized I had to change myself. This set me on an exciting journey that has been both challenging and rewarding, full of twists and turns in the path. My motto is “To make the world a better place, make yourself a better person.” This is my lifelong quest.
Hello Zaadzsters:
I love Zaadz and I'm glad you found my profile. Networking online has changed my life and I have lots of personal stories about great opportunities and new friendships that have come through my connections with people via the Internet.
Professionally, I am a broad-based consultant in marketing, business development, branding, public relations, media relations and other areas. I have extensive experience in health and wellness and alternative healing. I provide vision and creative direction to a diverse group of authors, speakers, artists, leaders, healing arts innovators, entrepreneurs and organizations.
You can read more about me at:

Personally, I am a health conscious, self-actualizing independent thinker with electic interests and friends. I value freedom and personal accountability for life choices.
My background includes being an artist since childhood, attendance at art school in Florence, Italy, training in piano and experience in developing light musical theater revues.
I am surrounded by many creative and artistic and musical friends who share my commitment to the expression of beauty in music and art. I am passionate about books and knowledge.
Am ardent bibliophile, I have read and own thousands of books, primarily nonfiction. I am a published author, a ghostwriter, and a contributor to books.
I love children, having fun and hanging out in nature with trees and flowers and lakes and greenery. I love mountains, too, and my favorite place in the whole world is the Grand Tetons in Wyoming.
One of my favorite movies is Fairytale: A True Story. It is about two sisters who supposedly took photos of real fairies. And I love the magical and emotionally-stirring 2003 Peter Pan movie directed by P.J. Hogan. I do believe in fairies, I do, I do!

Share your stories, books, ideas, articles, etc., about fairies, gnomes, elves and elementals. I believe that as children we actually see these nature spirits, but then are conditioned out of seeing them as we grow up. I believe that all Nature is intelligent life and that there are many different evolutions of life on this planet, visible and invisible.
GROUNDBREAKING PHOTOS OF NATURE SPIRITS – I have worked with a photographer who has captured what we believe are the first authentic, unretouched photos of nature spirits. These photos are really quite amazing and her book Spirits in the Garden is available on her Web site. One of her photos was recently published in the Utne Reader and she was inundated with requests for her book.

TELEVISION PRODUCTION
I am the creator and producer of the award-winning PBS television program The Legacy of Achievement ™ featuring the lives and lessons of great achievers.
LEAVING A LEGACY
At the end of our journey of life, each of us needs to know that we have contributed to others and that our life has meaning.
What we have contributed to others, to our families, to our community and the larger community is the legacy we leave.
Each life has value.
Each life has a mission and purpose.
And each life touches countless lives.
As Clarence the angel told George Bailey in the film It's A Wonderful Life:
“Each man's life touches so many other lives, and when he isn't around, he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?”
POSITIVE ROLE MODELS
Several years ago I made it my goal to document (through film, video and other media) the lives and lessons of great achievers in the world who exemplify the best of the human spirit. People I call the “jewels.” People who are not the usual celebrities and idols, but high-achieving men and women who demonstrate integrity and moral character and compassion and service and sacrifice and self-transformation through struggle and perserverance and courage.
MY NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS
I have founded two nonprofit organizations that have a mission to help inspire and lead people to lead positive, fulfilling and heroic lives.
The Legacy of Achievement Foundation is dedicated to creating a film/video library the presents positive role models to young people. The focus is on character, on integrity and on the triumph of the human spirit over adversity. The Legacy of Achievement Foundation seeks out the “jewels', those great achievers who exemplify such qualities as faith; determination; perserverance; compassion; service; integrity; inspiration; and moral character. We need to see positive role models who embody these characteristics, not just the usual celebrities, sports heroes, movie stars and rock stars who always get the limelight and who often are very bad role models.

The Spiritual Cinema Alliance is a nonprofit foundation dedicated to developing and promoting spiritually-uplifting films and media projects. SCA seeks support and funds for the development of movies and other media projects that inspire and direct young people to embrace higher spiritual realities and values.
